Our intention is simple and unwavering: every girl should feel included, supported and valued for who she is and where she comes from. Ngā mihi nui to the staff and students who have helped bring this week’s events to life, including the Friday mufti day.

For many of our senior students, and for our Year 10 cohort, the focus has been on the Literacy and Numeracy examinations that form a crucial part of their NCEA journey. I have emphasised many times just how significant these assessments are. Without achieving these core standards, students cannot receive their Level 1, 2, or 3 certificates. These exams are truly the gateway to our senior school.

It was wonderful to see students supporting one another, celebrating each other’s successes, and showing true House spirit. A special congratulations to Gold House, who took out first place in the House competition. Two standout moments from the day were the fiercely contested Haka Competition and the vibrant Holi Run, which closed the event in a burst of colour and celebration of diversity, unity and joy. A huge thank you goes to our Sports Coordinators, Finn and Fale, our dedicated teaching staff, and our hardworking, grounds, admin and kitchen teams. Your combined efforts created a day that truly reflected the strength of our school community.

It was wonderful to see all our Year 9 students listening respectfully and presenting themselves so well. Early feedback from staff is that they are a delightful group who are settling in beautifully.
