We consistently achieve academic results above the national average through offering specialists in ESOL and supported learning, teachers committed to providing first class academic opportunities, modern learning environments and a rich locally based curriculum.
To care for the pastoral and academic needs of our students we have a Director of International Students and an Akina coach to monitor individuals. As well as access to a careers advisor, school counsellor, nurse, deans and specialist teachers.
Our extensive high performance sports programme caters for both individual and team pursuits, with a wide range of winter and summer sports codes. A full sized indoor basketball and netball court. An all-weather outdoor surface, fully equipped gymnasium and specialist coaches.
We have 700 students from diverse backgrounds. A high proportion of Maori and Pasifika learners. As well as students from many parts of the globe including: China, Japan, Germany, India, Korea.
A comprehensive orientation programme and a three week extensive New Zealand cultural program for international students, at the end of each year. A modern uniform, compulsory at all levels.
