Mrs Jarden led our Year 13 Debating team in the Hawke’s Bay Secondary Schools’ Debating Championships, their first debating competition. It was a baptism of fire on which they thrived. It has been an exciting start to the school year in the library. We are now open from 8.00am - 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, with visitor numbers around 300 girls per day! A small army of 40 student volunteers are now in training to help in the library, which is great timing, as we have many new titles arriving almost every day, especially for our Maori, Pasifika and Magazine Collections. On a sunny Friday morning at the start of term, we had Swimming Sports at Frimley Pools. The whole school, staff and students, got dressed up in their house colours and had a great day. It was a fun house event that everyone participates in. There were competitive races and fun ones too, so everyone got to join in.
