Thank you to students and staff who came in support of Pink Shirt Day - we raised almost $250 for The Mental Health Organisation.
Kōrero Mai, Kōrero Atu, Mauri Tū, Mauri Ora!
Speak Up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying!

Thank you Howick College

A massive thank you to the Howick College School Leaders who have worked hard to raise funds and donations for the Hawke’s Bay Cyclone Relief and for coming down and getting amongst the action! Your kindness has been so highly appreciated.

We are super excited to be able to make your donations accessible to our school and wider community. We would like to extend our greatest thanks to the Howick College community for the large amounts of donations and funds that are going to be able to help so many people in Hawke's Bay following the cyclone. The Howick College community has raised funds for Omahu School which has been severely affected and unable to open after the cyclone.

What an amazing way to help our community. We hope to keep in touch and continue to collaborate in the future!

Anti-vaping Panel

My name is Laura Martin, and I am the CMO for the Health Research Foundation - Hawke's Bay. This charitable foundation has been around for 62 years and is about to grow its profile in the Bay by engaging with the community about its marvellous philosophy and aligning health projects - and we could really use your help!

We are currently organising an event that is specifically catered to parents/families with Intermediate and High School students. The 'Family Health Fair' is promising to be an interactive event with massages, family portrait photography, health-related activities and, as a main act, the anti-vaping panel discussion lead by Professor Anita Jagroop-Dearing. Anita has been a medical scientist for more than 20 years at UCL teaching hospital in London. She is spearheading the evidence experts are currently gathering on the worrying effects of vaping on physical and mental health. This is an incredibly current topic, especially amongst families with (pre-)teenagers. We are hoping this event will provide more scientific insights to both parents as well as their kids, and allow an open, well-informed discussion at home if they wish.

To optimise the relevance for this audience, we are offering parents to tell us what they would like to learn from this discussion. All they have to do is fill out this form:
