Paid Union Meeting - Wednesday 28 June

There will be a Paid Union Meeting for staff on Wednesday morning next week which means that school will open at 12.30pm for a shortened Block 2 and Block 3.

Snacks for students will be provided outside Te Rourou from 12.00noon.

Times are:

Block 2 - 12.30-1.50pm
Block 3 - 1.50-3.10pm

Please note that bus schedules are unable to accommodate this change so there will not be an additional bus service at midday for students to use to get to school. However, buses home will be as normal.

Schools' Pride Week Aotearoa

Last week we participated in Schools' Pride Week Aotearoa to celebrate takatāpui, LGBTQIA+, and MVPFAFF+ (Mahu, Vaka sa lewa lewa, Palopa, Fa’afafine, Akava’ine, Fakaleiti, Fakafifine+) students and their whānau.

We made bracelets, watched "The Prom", got our faces painted, and wore rainbow mufti throughout the week. From the mufti day we raised nearly $150 which will be donated to InsideOut and RainbowYouth, two organizations who support rainbow young people in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Great Outdoors Hub

The two Great Outdoors Hubs spent two days at Camp Wakarara this week consolidating their learning about te ngāhere this term and gathering evidence to help towards their final assessments and portfolio. We had exceptional weather and the girls also learned about how to be warm whilst out in the Ruahine Ranges.
