Week 6 Term One

Holi Festival

Sabhyachar will be celebrating their first event next Friday 19th of March 2pm. Holi is the festival of colours which celebrates the arrival of spring in India.

We have organised a fun event for students to come along with their friends and to have a great time. There will be coloured powder, water balloons and music to enjoy a colourful afternoon.
The event will start at 2pm, and students will need to bring white or light coloured clothes to change into.

There are limited spots, so please sign up ASAP on the link below. Students will need to go sign into their classes after lunch, then get changed and meet out on the field at 1.50pm.
We are looking forward to seeing you all out there

Student Lead Assembly

Monday's assembly is our first student lead assembly for the year. Please ensure you go quickly to your Ākina group first.

Out of Class

Starting Monday, we have a new 'out of class' routine. If you need to leave the class for any reason during class time, your teacher will provide you with a lanyard to wear. This helps us with Health and Safety and ensures students can get to where they need to go, quickly and efficiently.

Lunch Routines

Thank you for your support in ensuring the lunch distribution process is running smoothly. Remember to follow our lunch routines which you will find on display around the school.

Year 13 Study System

From this week Year 13 have the privilege of signing in late OR out early once a week when they have study. They must sign in and out at the student centre. At other times they may work in allocated rooms, the library or in a teacher's space as appropriate. All students must have a signed whānau letter in order to access this privilege.

School Athletics

Our school athletics is on Friday 26th March at HGHS. This is a fun and competitive House event in which all girls can compete. There are both competitive and fun track and field events in which all girls can get involved in. Girls' will need to bring water bottle, sunscreen & water. Lunch will be provided at school. There will be a sports fundraiser with the selling of Juicies and Moosies. This will be a good opportunity to look through your wardrobes for fun things to wear in your house colours.
