Term time only.

Waipawa Bus Meeting

We are hosting a meeting at the Otane Hall on Thursday 26 May for the families of students who travel by bus to school from Otane, Waipawa and Waipukurau.

Uniform

We wish to bring to your attention the uniform expectations for jewellery.  Years 9-12 are able to wear one earring in the lower lobe.  We ask that this is a stud. By Wednesday we ask that you support us by getting your daughter to remove extra piercings which includes facial piercings.

Thursday 30 JuneSession 23.15 -5.15pm

Concussion Framework Project

On Thursday 2 June at 7pm there will be a 30 minute online information session about concussions (the link will be circulated in next week's Pānui). This session can be attended by all parents, coaches, managers, volunteers - regardless of the sport their children participate in. The purpose of the Concussion Management Guidelines is to provide school staff, coaches, parents/caregivers, and medical personnel with information on concussion management within the school setting.

The aim is to ensure that all students who sustain concussion are well managed in their return to learning and activity. Hastings Girls' High School is currently participating in a Pilot project to introduce concussion guidelines within the school (including injuries across all sports, and non-sporting activity (accidents, etc). This will ensure that suspected concussions incurred by students can be managed in a consistent and appropriate way. The project is being delivered in partnership with New Zealand Rugby, The University of Otago and Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
