Junior Hub Hui Bookings

Junior Whānau, please book in to see your junior student's Hub Lead teacher on Thursday between 2 and 6 pm. Bookings open from 2 pm on Monday - book at:

Note that all of your student's subject teachers will also be at the hui so you need only book one appointment.

Early finish next Thursday 7 July

The Junior Hub Hui will be held on Thursday 7 July, which means that school will finish early at 12.20 pm.

The buses run as normal, except for the Flaxmere Bus which will leave at 12.35 pm.
Note that the day will start with Ākina Time.

Kapa Haka Training & Whānau Hui

If you're interested in Kapa Haka this year, please remember that the first training and Whānau Hui is on Monday at 4pm in the hall. All Whānau are welcome to come along for the first part of the session to hear about the kaupapa for the programme. Hard copies of the information and training schedule are available in the Student Centre.

Junior Laptop Returns

All junior students are to return their school laptops to their Hub Lead Teacher by the end of term. Laptops will be kept on site and made available to students in the classroom from Term 3. These are due back by Wednesday next week.

Mentoring - Tuakana / Teina

If you're a Year 12 or 13 student and want to become a Tuakana for our Teina (big sister for our juniors) becoming part of a programme to support the academic progress of our junior students; please sign up below:

This will be ongoing for Term 2 & 3. Our senior leaders and tuakana will come and meet with you, kōrero and figure out a plan to support you in your mahi. Some of this will take place in class and during lunch breaks. Please take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to awhi you through your mahi.

Returning to physical activity/exercise after Covid-19

Spending time with COVID-19 can cause your muscles to become weaker. Exercise is important for regaining your muscle strength and endurance. BUT this needs to be safely managed. This applies to children as well as adults.

Students should be starting back with low intensity exercise and building their way up to high intensity exercise. Click on the link below to use a guideline on returning to physical activity/exercise post-Covid-19.
