VOCATIONAL PATHWAYS

Students excel when their learning is grounded in an engaging and authentic context.

At Hastings Girls', we offer a number of vocational courses for students who wish to enter the
Police or Armed Services, are interested in a skilled trade area or looking for pathways to the
workplace.

In Year 12 and 13, students can opt into the Police Course at school or apply to attend Trades
Academy one day a week at EIT studying Hair and Beauty, Hospitality, Automotive, Engineering,
Computing, Sport or Building. Our Gateway programme allows students to access real
experiences in retail, eldercare, early childhood or agriculture.

Our fabulous team support students in gaining the credits and skills they need, including taking
their driver's licences, creating CVs, and understanding employment law. They also offer
practical support, providing transport and creating opportunities for jobs.
