Ākina Voices

The Hastings Girls' High School Choir programme has a history as one of the finest school choirs in Hawke's Bay. We are dedicated to giving life-changing performance opportunities, coupled with quality music education that help to promote personal growth, well-being and life skills that prepare students to become effective and confident citizens. Through weekly rehearsals and regular public performances, students develop their singing technique, understanding of different styles of musicians, confidence with performing in front of audiences.

For 2023 Ākina Voices will be an auditioned 12-voice choir. They represent the best choristers at HGHS. Their commitment, work ethic, and vocal ability is of the highest calibre.

School Choir will start in Term 3 and is open to anyone who loves singing. It is not auditioned.
